With a typical high directivity of 30 dB and an insertion loss as low as 0.6 dB, our RF/microwave and millimeter wave waveguide couplers supply Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) as low as 1.2:1 and offer an operating frequency from 18 GHz up to 110 GHz. For added reliability and durability, our directional couplers for waveguide feature bodies and flanges made of brass copper with gold plating.

They are available in various sizes - from WR-42 (K-band) to WR-10 (W-band). They also have 10 dB and 20 dB coupling values and come in seven different frequency bands, including K, Ka, Q, U, V, E and W. Depending on your project requirement, we also stock E bend and H bend configurations. These are all in stock and ready to ship immediately.

Our instrumentation-grade waveguide directional couplers, such as the SMW42HC001-20, SMW28HC001-20, SMW19EC001-20 and SMW12EC001-10, come in handy during test setups where power reflection measurements, that involve power sampling and frequency monitoring with minimal signal loss to the main transmission path, are required. Typical scenarios include test benches, radar, satellite, microwave radio, attenuation and power measurements and source leveling.

    Performance Testing

Know the performance of your waveguide directional coupler's system components. Our RF performance test data includes input return loss (S11), insertion loss (S21), output return loss (S22) and isolation (S12). Tests are performed with a vector network analyzer and can be delivered in CSV, PNG or S2P file formats. Please specify your preferred file format when requesting RF performance testing.

    Phase matching is performed by our highly skilled technicians. Available on many of our cable assemblies.

    Custom Cable Assemblies
