This hood kit has a low-profile metalized plastic backshell for covering D-sub cable assembly connectors. Our assembled hood kit is built for 9-pin D-subminiature/HD15 connectors. The D-sub hood kit has a thickness of 0.58 inches and is made of thermoplastic with a body length of 1.65 inches.Our hood kit has a two-piece cover design for easy and quick assembly. The low-profile design of this D-sub kit allows for use in tight spaces where standard-depth backshells cause clearance problems. The FM1049 hood kit has a metalized chrome plating, which provides an economical method of shielding backshells.
