Electromechancial Transfer Switches up to 40 GHz

Fairview Microwave’s line of electromechanical relay transfer switches can be utilized for numerous applications to increase system level capabilities and can help simplify the overall design approach. With two input and two output ports, transfer switches can connect two different instruments with two devices under test. Additionally, they can be used as drop-out switches, for signal reversal or to bypass a component under test. These products are typically used in military communications and broadcast systems, SATCOM, test & measurement, instrumentation applications and are suitable for aircraft use.

There are 43 different models offered that cover broad frequency bands that range from DC to 40 GHz These relay transfer switches are highly reliable with lifecycle ratings up to 5 million hours. Both +12V and +28V designs offer a variety of desirable features which include latching or failsafe actuators, indicators, TTL logic, self cut-off and suppression diodes. Performance varies across the frequency band and can range as low as 0.2 dB min for insertion loss and 80 dB min for isolation.

Package outlines are compact, ruggedly built and support SMA, N-Type, TNC, or 2.92mm connectors. Some models support power handling capability up to 700 Watts (CW) at 1 GHz.
